Why does my fish tank look so cloudy?

It is said that fish caring can make people relax and it is interesting, I want to try it. So a year ago, I bought a fish tank and some fish to start my fish-raising life.

In the beginning, there were only water, two fish, and an oxygen pump in my fish tank. I sincerely hope my fish can grow healthily. However, my fish tank became cloudy. I change the water but it is making a futile effort. My fish tank became cloudy again after few days. I had no choice but to ask the help of the fish shop owner. He told me that maybe there are some problems with filtration in my fish tank. The uneaten food and feces caused the cloud. And he suggested I buy a filter at last. Filtration? What kind of filter do I need? To get more information, I searched the filter on the internet. Finally, I knew some experiences of fish-raising.

The cloud of a fish tank can be divided into three types. They are physical turbidity, chemical turbidity, and biological turbidity. Physical turbidity is caused by too many small particles and impurities in the fish tank, which may be the remaining bait or fish feces. This kind of turbidity can be controlled by using filters. Chemical turbidity may be the use of water purifiers and other products, as long as we use less of this kind of turbidity can it be controlled. Biological turbidity may be a large number of microbial reproduction in the water, this turbidity is more troublesome, need to use a germicidal lamp, or can raise a few shrimp and snails.

My fish tank environment is simple, so it should be physical turbidity, in order to make my fish have a better living environment, but also to make the fish tank look clearer. I bought a filter online first to try it out.

When I received the filter, I immediately opened the package, the item was fine, there was no damage, and then I started to install it. It was super easy to install. After installing it, I filled it with water and hung it over the fish tank to use it.  The flow of water can be adjusted, and the sound of water is very quiet, which sounds very comfortable and makes me feel relaxed. Even sleeping at night does not make people feel restless, but has a kind of hypnotic effect, which makes me fall asleep soon after lying on the bed.

A few days later, the water in the fish tank really became clear, the fish were more lively than before, and even my sleep quality became better. Below is a comparison of the fish tank filter before and after use.

I bought the Tararium HCL-701 filter, which has a dual-outlet waterfall, adjustable flow rate, several layers of cotton, and very little noise, so I changed my water less often.

If you're having trouble with a cloudy fish tank, I suggest you buy a filter.
